Foggy Discovery Park | Seattle Child Photographer

I took my son and his little bestie / our neighbor out for a quick photo session right before school started.  I can’t believe my little guy is in Kindergarten!  It was a beautiful day at home in Madrona but when we got to Discovery Park it was foggy and windy- but we went with it and I have to say I am a fan of foggy photos.  I learned a few things and next time I will be a little more prepared.  This session is not my normal editing style but my normal edits just didn’t work with the fog and stark light- I love the way they turned out and can’t wait to do a family session at Discovery Park!  And if seems like I took way more photos of my neighbor- you would be right.  My little stinker avoids the camera like its the plague…

Graduation Day | Seattle Senior Photgraphy

There are some things you swear you will never say when you grow up- like I have known you since you were this high.  But I have known Jaemi since she was this high (insert hand at about waste high) and I really coudn’t be more proud of who she is and who she is becoming.  These photos were taken the evening of her high school graduation and thankfully the rain never showed up. Look out Oregon State- a new gal is coming to town. Now go take the world by the bull horns Jaemi!  Be kind along the way.  Keep being real.  Smile often. Laugh unapologetically. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Listen to your inner voice-it ALWAYS knows best!  And remember everyone has a story and until you know their story, try not to judge.  I am 42 and still working on that one but wish I had understood it much sooner in life. Love you Jaemi!!!

field of flowers

We had the most glorious sunny day the other day and I have been drooling over this random field of dandelions I drive past daily and decided to pack up the kids for an impromptu photo session. The very next day this field was mowed so I am feeling really lucky we got these when we did.  Sennet and I stopped by this field one afternoon about six months ago and you can see those images here and apparently he loves his coyote shirt-oops.
